What "free verifier without signup" actually means

Most "free" email verifiers do one of three things: run a syntax-only check (useless, does not touch the recipient server), gate you behind a signup wall the moment you submit the address, or capture your email and enroll you in a drip campaign. None of those is what you probably wanted.

A useful free verifier does what a paid verifier does, just for one address at a time: syntax validation, MX record lookup, live SMTP handshake with catch-all detection, and disposable-domain filtering. How to use it (30 seconds)

   Go to /email-verifier. The widget sits at the top of the page.

   Type or paste the address.

   Any single email address. Personal, work, catch-all, disposable, whatever.

   Hit verify.

   Result comes back in one to two seconds. You will see one of: deliverable, undeliverable, catch-all (accepts but risky), or disposable.

When to move beyond the free single check

• You have more than a handful of addresses to verify at once (bulk upload requires an account, still no card for 100 free credits)
• You need REST API access for automated workflows
• You want dedupe against previously verified lists, per-address history, or webhook callbacks on job completion
• You want a credit-back on wrong verdicts (paid plans only)

Why we do not gate the free check

Gating a single-address free check behind a signup form is an old growth playbook that assumes email harvesting is worth the friction it adds. It usually is not. A public free tool that actually works produces goodwill and repeat visits; a broken free tool trained visitors to distrust the brand. KillBounce keeps the single-check ungated on purpose.
